#SideHustle: Jason G. H. Londt’s contribution to holdings of the South African Cicadidae (Hemiptera, Auchenorrhyncha) in the KwaZulu-Natal Museum

Jason G.H. Londt contributed almost a quarter of the KwaZulu-Natal Museum’s specimens Cicadidae, including strong sample females, and probably best set to date African records predation on cicadas by robber flies. The collection provides evidence that flies catch more male cicadas; speculatively, because attacks heavier-bodied female fail often. metadata derived from these also provide small gazetteer Londt’s collecting sites.
